SYDNEY FC defender Simon Colosimo has shaken off the effects of a heavy fall that left him coughing up blood in last night’s 1-0 win over Macarthur Rams.
He joined the rest of the team as they returned to training today despite the worrying injury that had him taken to hospital.
Colosimo was forced from the field in the first half of the clash with the State League side after landing awkwardly when he went up for a header.
The 30-year old was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for precautionary scans and x-rays after coughing up a small amount of blood following the fall but was given the all clear after four hours observation.
After overcoming the Rams, Vitezslav Lavicka's men have now turned their attention to the second in their series of State League friendlies, with the Sky Blues to face Bankstown City at 7:30pm next Wednesday night at Jenson Oval, Sefton.
