Nick, 25, who plays for Riversdale SC in Victorian State League 4 East, was the winner of FourFourTwo’s recent FIFA14 caption competition.

As part of his win, Nick was flown to Hong Kong by EA SPORTS for the Barclays Asia Trophy – the only officially sanctioned EPL tournament outside the UK.

The tournament featured Tottenham Hotspurs, Sunderland, South China and Manchester City.

And as fate would have it, Nick’s a lifelong City fan, and the chance to see his beloved team with new signings debuting and a new coach was a dream come true.

Nick watched his team train at the Mong Kok Stadium and even got to meet City star Joleon Lescott and ask him a question during a FourFourTwo interview with the England defender.

And he posted a few selfies with the likes of Kun Aguero, Jack Rodwell and Dedryck Boyata during a FIFA14 players’ tournament between the EPL clubs.

“The whole week’s been surreal,” he told au.fourfourtwo.com.

“The people of Hong Kong also love their football, and wearing my Manchester  City shirt around town often garnered a smile, a cheer or a thumbs down from passers by, depending on who they might follow.

"Their passion for the game has been evident, especially at the two Barclays Asia Trophy fixtures, both of which were sold out, highlighting Asia’s appetite for the game."

City played in the final against Sunderland – which was slightly awkward as FourFourTwo editor Aidan Ormond is a Sunderland supporter.

“As the teams strode out into the middle of a now muddy park (it had started raining again), they preceded to shake hands, as did Aidan and I, before the hostilities were to begin," said Nick.

“Dzeko added to his goal in the opening match by scoring a cracking volley. The second half saw several changes for both sides, including Jesus Navas’ bow in a blue shirt. 1-0 the final scoreline and my beloved Blues lifted their first (and hopefully not last) piece of silverware for the new season.”

Boyata made it a City double by winning the FIFA14 EPL players'  tournament.

Nick blogged for EA while he was in Hong Kong and had had the chance to play some of the best FIFA players during a FIFA14 tournament on a 70% build of the game.

He was beaten but that didn't take away from his enjoyment of being in Hong Kong, seeing his EPL club play, exploring the vibrant city and getting a chance to play FIFA14.

Nick added: “The highlight was meeting the players you see each week play in the Premier League on TV.I think I’ll be entering a few more FourFourTwo competitions in the future!”
