Socceroo legend Harry Kewell and Brazilian World Cup and Confederations Cup winner Gilberto Silva will bring the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup trophy to Sydney later this week with the prestigious tournament less than 100 days away.
The pair will be in Sydney for two days on Thursday afternoon and Friday to promote the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup as the Socceroos prepare to take on World Champions Germany, Chile and Cameroon in Russia, starting on 19 June.
Kewell played 58 internationals for the Socceroos (scoring 17 goals) and amongst his career highlights played in the 1997 Confederations Cup Final against Brazil after scoring the winner in the 1-0 semi final victory against Uruguay.
It is still Australia’s best ever performance at the Confederations Cup.

Silva, who spent six season with Arsenal from 2002-2008, comes to Sydney as a FIFA World Cup winner (2002) and two-time FIFA Confederations Cup winner (2005 and 2009) with Brazil in an international career that spanned 10 years, where he played 93 internationals in a team that scaled the heights of international football.
The pair went head-to-head at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, when Brazil defeated Australia 2-0 in a group stage match in Munich as both teams progressed through to the knockout stage.
