Liverpool are set to touch down in Melbourne late on Sunday July 21 ahead of their clash against the A-League powerhouse on Wednesday July 24.

It will be a memorable week for Australian football fans with Manchester United set to play an A-League All-Stars side - featuring, potentially, Alessandro Del Piero - on July 20 in Sydney.

Victory coach Ange Postecoglou is set to coach the A-League All-Stars, making July a fabulous one for the rising star of Aussie coaching as well as the fans.

This will be the first time the Anfield club has visited Australia with expectations already high that the club can sell-out the famed Melbourne sporting venue thanks to a fanatical fan-base down-under.

The Anfield club is famous for its Aussie connection with Harry Kewell and Craig Johnston two of the biggest local names to have donned the red jersey.

Currently featuring in the Reds squad is Socceroo fringe keeper Brad Jones. And with new Brazilian signing Coutinho, English great Steven Gerrard and Uruguayan sensation Luis Suarez, Liverpool will  bring an eye-catching squad to town.

Following the Victory game, the Reds play at Bangkok's Rajamangala stadium on Sunday July 28 as part of their pre-season preparations.
