The reigning Serie A champions are undefeated in the league this season, with five wins and one draw from their opening six matches.

But many of their performances have left plenty to be desired, particularly in the UEFA Champions League.

Their start in Europe's premier competition has seen them held 1-1 by Copenhagen before they had to settle for a draw with Galatasaray at the Juventus Stadium on Wednesday.

However, Conte defended his side's record, although claimed he is not surprised by the criticism.

"I believe that we have played with great enthusiasm in the last two years and we can still amaze people this year," Conte said.

"I'm not surprised by the fact that everyone is trying to destabilise the situation.

"I expected this. About a month and a half ago I talked about the difficulties we would have this year and among those difficulties, I included this kind of situation.

"We shouldn't forget that last year - just like this year - Juventus has been the team that started the best. We won five matches and drew one match.

"The same happened last year, but this year it seems like we lost three matches.

"But this is the enemy that is hidden everywhere. We know this because, as I've already said, we expected this situation, so I'm not surprised."
