KETTERING chairman Imraan Ladak has confirmed that manager Mark Cooper has held talks with Peterborough over the managerial vacancy at London Road.
Cooper has emerged as the surprise favourite to replace Darren Ferguson but Ladak also confirmed he will take charge of the Poppies' trip to Cambridge tomorrow.
Ladak told the Northampton Evening Telegraph: "We gave Peterborough permission to speak to him and I understand the meetings went well.
"It seems, unsurprisingly, that they were very impressed with him but no final decision has been made at this time.
"Mark just wants to concentrate on the match at Cambridge and that's what we all must do," Ladak said. "He will be at Cambridge and then we will see what happens."
