Cagliari exited the competition at the hands of Bologna, who cruised to a 3-0 away win.
Riccardo Meggiorini made it 1-0 with a first-half penalty before goals from Gaston Ramirez and Henry Gimenez in the last six minutes.
Lazio triumphed by the same margin against Albinoleffe, with Javier Garrido, Guglielmo Stendardo and Simon Del Nero on target.
