Melbourne City’s active group ‘Melburnians’ have vowed to belt their lungs out tomorrow night with plans of disbanding after the game due to the lack of participation as well as restrictions on their support.

Victory are in good form going into tomorrow night as they look to make it seven wins in a row after losing their first two games to City and Perth Glory.

Brown, who came from Brisbane Roar, believes there will be more Victory fans in attendance, despite it being City’s home game.

“Our supporters are the best in the land, we have the most members,” Brown told FTBL.

“I’m expecting a lot of navy blue to be there and it’ll feel like a home game for us. I’m very pumped, I had a taste of it in Round 1, the atmosphere was unreal and having it at Marvel Stadium was a bit different.

“By all reports, the atmosphere for a derby at AAMI Park is next level, so I’m looking forward to experiencing it.

“It’s hard to pinpoint what the biggest game I’ve played in would be. I’ve played in front of huge crowds for junior national teams and for Brisbane as well.

“It’s a huge game, I’d love to win it and then keep our form going. To date, it would probably be in the top five I’ll play in.”

City playmaker Dario Vidosic believes they have the mental edge over Victory after beating them 2-1 in Round 1.

But Brown said they had forgotten about the first derby.

“They can take the mental edge if they think they’ve got that, but personally I think we’ve done really well and we’ll take each game as it comes,” he said.

“The past is the past, so all we can do is prepare for the next one. We’re in a good run of form, but it’ll mean nothing if we lose this weekend.

“We’ve prepared all week for City and I’m buzzing to get out there.”

Brown added he was prepared for Lachie Wales, who has stepped in for the out-of-favour Bruno Fornaroli.

“We’re not bothered by Bruno not playing,” he said.

“We’re more focused on what we do and how we can hurt them. It’s a hard job for a defender to know who they are, how they’re playing and how we’ll nullify that. Ultimately, it’ll come down to us and what we do.”
