“There's a couple of boys there who haven't played many games,” Corica said before flying to Melbourne today.

“Our front two or three will try to do our best. We've got Bridgey [Michael Bridge] up front who's got a lot of experience and we'll work them.

“You look for opportunities during the game. And obviously with a new defence, it might come early on, you never know.”

Corica's combinations with striker Alex Brosque, Bridge and midfield partner in crime Juninho have been a highlight of the last two wins for the sky blues in recent weeks.

“Once you've got the ball you're always looking for little balls between the defenders for the strikers to run onto," said Corica.

"It's probably the best way to break defences down is to play into little gaps. Obviously we'll do it early and if that works we'll keep doing it.

"If that doesn't work, we'll have to go wider."

He added: “The encounters we've had with them before have been physcial and I can't see why this won't be any different."

Corica is set to make his 50th A-League appearance on Saturday night at the Telstra Dome.

And the former Socceroo would love nothing more than to keep the 100% record of the new Kossie era - especially after his red card against Melbourne last time the two sides met.

“We're as desperate as them, we want to win three games on the bounce," he said. “The pressure is on them because they're at home, they've got to take it to us.

"There'll be a big crowd, they want to win, we want to win, and we're both good teams.

“If we get a good result it means we've knocked off the top teams over the last three weeks."

The players looked at ease at this morning's final session at a wet Macquarie University.

Corica added: “Kossie has come in and the boys seem very relaxed at training and more confident. We've had two good results which obviously helps the confidence.

“I think the boys are playing well. Training's been very good and very physical and high tempo. It's been fantastic since he's [Kosmina] been here.”
