Glory sealed the Premiers Plate with two matches to spare last weekend, already eight points clear of their east coast rivals – and hoping to extend that lead over Sydney to 11 points tomorrow.

Today Corica braced for his final home game of the season at Jubilee Stadium against the runaway leaders and admitted he was bitter over Glory's success.

And he confessed he was so disappointed, he couldn't even bring himself to watch Perth take the title on Sunday.

"Of course it hurts," he said after training today. "The plan at the start of the year was to win the Premiership.

"I didn't watch them pick up the Plate. I couldn't do that. It was a little bit hard to take.

"But you know, congratulations to them."

Corica paid tribute to Perth's defensive record this season which he said was the difference between Glory this year and in previous title tilts.

But although Tony Popovic's side had the best defensive record in the league, Corica was keen to stress that Sydney were second best.

"Defensively, they've been a lot stronger," said Corica. "They've got a good structure and they've got the best defence in the league. We're second best.

"Also in attack they have good players that can score goals, and so do we. They're a good team. We have to actually give them credit because they've just won the Premiership.

"I think they've changed their mindset. They were struggling to win away from home a lot of the time and Popa's obviously changed that.

"They're playing good football so he's obviously doing a good job with them. Perth is a dangerous team. They've been the most consistent team over the season, so it's our job tomorrow to get the win."

In pics: Brosque - the Sydney years

Have a look back via some candid pics of Sydney FC skipper Alex Brosque's years with the Sky Blues since joining in 2006 as his final game approaches.

The match against Glory will be skipper Alex Brosque's last home and away game before he retires after the finals, but he's still under an injury cloud and in danger of missing his regular season farewell.

After initially claiming everyone was "fine and ready to go", Corica backtracked and admitted Michael Zullo was unavailable, while Brosque will train separately.

"Brosquey's a little bit sore," said Corica. "He'll do a little bit of light training...but he's a good chance of being involved tomorrow.

"I'd love to send him off on a winning note."
