SKIPPER Steve Corica insists Sydney FC's spirit remains firmly intact as he looks to a 'must win' clash against Queensland Roar at the SFS.
Recent results have not been good but Corica says the squad and coaching staff remain united in their desire to turn things round.
The experienced performer believes it will only take a single victory to change the picture.
Speaking after training today, he said: "We haven't had good results lately but the mood in the camp's good. Everyone's upbeat and looking for a good result tomorrow night.
"We've got a good coaching staff, a great bunch of boys and we're all together. We know what we have to do to get out of it. That's to work hard."
The captain said numerous factors could be attributed for just what has gone wrong in recent weeks.
He said: "It's a little bit of everything. We've had a bit of bad luck, injuries and stuff like that.
"But we've been playing well in patches. We've just got to do it for 90 minutes now. With a little bit of luck we can turn it around, get one win and build from there.
"One win turns a lot of things around. You get two or three wins in a row and you're right up there.
"Against Melbourne I think we were top of the table, three games later and we're in fifth position."
Sydney cannot afford to lose any further ground and the captain acknowledges this is a crunch match for the club.
He added: "It's a massive game, the biggest game for us this season. We know how big it is.
"It's not do or die but it's definitely a 'must win' for us."
Corica isn't expecting a goal feast at the SFS but takes a little heart from the fact Farina's men have yet to win on Sydney turf.
He said: "Normally the games against Queensland are very tight and not many goals. We need to score a couple tomorrow."
Corica said the players joined those wanting to express their good wishes to a member of the opposition.
He said: "We wish him (Craig Moore) all the best. Hopefully he'll be fine. He played last week and did a good job.
"He's a tough character, very mentally strong and he leads by example."
