Corinthians coach Tite has dismissed claims that his side will head into the FIFA Club World Cup final against Chelsea as underdogs.
Beating the English Premier League giants in Japan on Sunday will not be easy, particularly with Chelsea having returned to form with three straight wins after a poor run of results saw them go winless in six.
But Corinthians – winners of the 2012 Copa Libertadores – will also enter the match in good spirits after a 1-0 triumph over Al-Ahly in the semi-finals.
"It's a personal opinion to say Corinthians should be more aggressive," Tite said.
"Respecting our opponents doesn't necessarily mean we think we are underdogs.
"In terms of Chelsea's game plan, I ignore it because that is down to their manager and something I need to talk to my squad about but let me be blunt, we want to win.
"I can sit here and say it but seriously, I just want to win."
Corinthians midfielder Danilo was under no illusions as to the importance of the match.
"This kind of a match is one of the most important in my career as a football player," Danilo said.
"To come here again ... I've been here twice now and I want to do my best and perform well."
