Adelaide United's promising young defender Robert Cornthwaite has signed a new one-year contract with the A-League outfit.
The deal will see the Australia Under-23 international remain with The Reds for the 2007/08 A-League season and the 2008 AFC Champions League campaign.
Cornthwaite, who is hoping to travel to the 2008 Beijing Olympics with the Olyroos, played eight games for Adelaide last season and scored his first goal against the Newcastle Jets last September.
"Robbie has enormous potential and I know that we're all looking forward to Robbie realising that potential here in Adelaide over the coming years," said Adelaide Chief Executive Michael Petrillo.
"We're very happy that he has agreed to terms and he can now focus fully on his football."
