The Socceroos defender has departed for a break but is expected to make a decision on his future in the coming days.

Glory are hoping they will emerge as his choice although the current Colchester United defender is believed to have several other options to mull over.

Clubs in China and South Korea are believed to be keen to sign the experienced defender while he may also decide that his World Cup prospects are best served by remaining in Europe.

But if he does decide to say 'thanks but no thanks' to Dave Mitchell, he says the club could not really have done more to convince him.

""If things don't work out with Perth Glory it won't be through a lack of effort on their part," he told the West Australian.
