Grella took a knock in training overnight on Thursday and has undergone medical tests to see the full extent of the calf injury.

He missed training overnight and could only watch from the sidelines on crutches.

Coach Pim Verbeek admitted: "Vincenzo has had an MRI scan and it doesn't look good.

"It is going to be very difficult for him to be ready for Wednesday."

Mark Milligan is also in doubt for Wednesday's crucial World Cup qualifier clash in Tashkent after he also broke down in training overnight on Thursday.

Verbeek said that while Milligan will not take part in the Netherlands game tonight, he is "50-50" for the Uzbekistan match.

Verbeek confirmed that Milligan will travel to Tashkent on the charter flight arranged by Football Federation Australia.

Defender Matthew Spiranovic has also been ruled out of both games after undergoing emergency dental surgery to remove wisdom teeth.

But Verbeek, says he has "no worries" about the result of tonight's game in Eindhoven.

"In the end, this match is about Wednesday's game," Verbeek said.

Verbeek said the bright light on the horizon was the fitness and condition of Harry Kewell.

"Harry is fit, Harry is ready, Harry is fresh," said Verbeek. "It is good to see him in the group.

"Harry is back!"
