NICK Carle's refusal to moan and whinge about his lack of current action at Crystal Palace has earned the Socceroo praise from the club's coaching staff.
Carle has found first team options severely limited so far this season despite his hopes of making it to the looming World Cup.
Pim Verbeek has made it clear that those in contention for his squad need to be playing regularly.
But Carle is said to be handling the situation calmly at Selhurst Park and Palace assistant boss Mick Jones admits the Aussie is a little unfortunate to be out in the cold at the moment.
"Neil is the manager and he makes the final decisions, but the bottom line is that Nick has never whinged, never complained," Jones told Palace's official website.
"He is the first to congratulate the players if they get a good result, and he is very unlucky to be out of the team at the moment. But the system we are playing suits the players we have got and he knows that."
There still appears to be a future for Carle at Palace though with the staff convinced he remains a good addition.
Jones added: "The balance of the team at the moment looks very good and Nick has been a victim of that. But he is still a very good player."
