Ronald Koeman's side won their Eredivisie opener 2-0 at the Heracles Almelo and the defending champions will be hoping to be just as clinical in the first game at the Philips Stadion.

The coach is without a host of key players with Jefferson Farfan and Edison Mendez definitely out, while there are doubts over the availability of Ibrahim Afellay and Danko Lazovic.

Another player who will miss out is Arouna Kone.

Most of the talk in Eindhoven this week has been surrounding the future of the Ivory Coast international and the coach looks to becoming increasingly frustrated with the availability of the striker.

"I don't know what's wrong with Arouna Kone," said Koeman. "Last Monday they told me he was injured. Today he was in the hospital but the doctors did not find anything.

"And then he returned too late from a visit to Paris where his country Ivory Coast played. I am disappointed in the human being Kone. He will not play tomorrow."

The Ivorian has been heavily linked with Spanish club Sevilla over the past seven days and Koeman said: "It is quite simple. They don't want to pay yet the price we want."

With or without Kone, Koeman is confident his side can again win a fixture they have won for the past five seasons.

"We believe in our own chances and we are in a good shape - we will win," he added.

Kenneth Perez, who joined PSV from rivals Ajax over the summer, is set for his debut.

NEC coach Mario Been meanwhile has his own worries with his new signing Adam Hrepka ruled out through injury.

The coach is therefore expected to start with the same XI that that were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Roda JC last week.
