GOALKEEPERS
PETR CECH (Chelsea, 20/05/82)
The Chelsea stopper is the Czechs' number one and, barring injury, will be a key player for the team at Euro 2008. He was named as goalkeeper of the tournament four years ago.
JAROMIR BLAZEK (Nurnberg, 29/12/72)
The Nurnberg goalkeeper is unlikely to oust Cech during the tournament but having won six domestic league titles will provide good experience.
MAREK CECH (Luch-Energia Vladivostok, 08/04/76)
Has only one cap to his name is unlikely to be anything other than a back-up at the tournament.
DEFENDERS
MAREK JANKULOVSKI (AC Milan, 09/05/77)
The AC Milan left-back was an instrumental figure during qualifying and chipped in with a couple of important goals. Faces the monumental task of marking Cristiano Ronaldo when the Czech Republic play Portugal in the group stage.
DAVID ROZEHNAL (Lazio, 05/07/80)
The centre-back did not let an unsettling season, during which he moved on loan to Lazio only five months after signing for Newcastle, prevent him from being a formidable figure for the Czechs during qualifying.
RADOSLAV KOVAC (Spartak Moscow, 27/11/79)
The first-choice partner for Rozenhal in the heart of defence, the Spartak Moscow player is also comfortable as a holding midfielder and is an excellent tackler and passer.
TOMAS UJFALUSI (Fiorentina, 24/03/78)
Has been linked with Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Tottenham and Liverpool this season but has been integral to Fiorentina reaching the latter stages of the UEFA Cup. Could stake a claim to start at right-back.
ZDENEK POSPECH (FC Copenhagen, 14/12/78)
The right-back plays in the Danish Superliga and will be fresh as his season only started in March. A replacement for the injury-prone Zdenek Grygera.
MICHAL KADLEC (Sparta Prague, 12/12/84)
Unlikely to usurp Jankulovski at left-back but is a capable deputy. His father Miroslav captained the Czech Republic in the final of Euro 96.
ZDENEK GRYGERA (Juventus, 14/05/80)
The right-back is versatile and an aggressive, attacking talent but is prone to injury.
JAN SIMUNEK (Wolfsburg, 20/02/87)
The defender earned his first call-up in October 2007. A promising talent but not likely to start any games at the Euros.
MIDFIELDERS
TOMAS ROSICKY (Arsenal, 04/10/80)
Named captain of the side at the start of the 2006-07 season, replacing Pavel Nedved, and led by example in qualifying. Has become stronger after playing two seasons for Arsenal in the Premier League and is sure to set Euro 2008 alight with his trickery, creativity and shooting prowess if he overcomes a knee injury in time.
TOMAS GALASEK (Nurnberg, 15/01/73)
Has won 57 caps and experience will be the Nurnberg holding midfielder's trump card if coach Karel Bruckner opts for a more defensive midfield.
DAVID JAROLIM (Hamburg, 17/05/79)
Established himself as a useful addition to the squad during qualifying and the winger will be relied upon to provide creativity with his pace and skill.
JAROSLAV PLASIL (Osasuna, 05/01/82)
Hailed as the new Nedved, the 26-year-old Osasuna midfielder is a first-choice midfielder and possesses superb technical skill. Two-footed and can maraud down either wing.
JAN POLAK (Anderlecht, 14/03/81)
A box-to-box midfielder for Belgian side Anderlecht and was a key part of the under-21 side which won the European Championships in 2002.
MAREK MATEJOVSKY (Reading, 20/12/81)
The versatile Reading midfielder can play in the middle or on either wing but will struggle to break into the line-up, especially given he is not a regular for his club.
LIBOR SIONKO (FC Copenhagen, 01/02/77)
The FC Copenhagen midfielder was called up at the last minute for the 2006 World Cup squad, replacing Vladimir Smicer, but only featured as a late substitute in Germany. Played in the friendly against Denmark in March and set up Jan Koller's equaliser.
DANIEL PUDIL (Slavia Prague, 27/09/85)
A skilful left-winger currently playing for Slavia Prague in the Czech league. Has only made two appearances for his country so far but may be given a chance in Austria and Switzerland.
FORWARDS
JAN KOLLER (Nurnberg, 30/03/73)
The prolific striker is the all-time leading scorer for either the Czech Republic or Czechoslovakia with 52 goals from 84 appearances. Has been short of goals for struggling German side Nurnberg this season but still has the faith of his coach and will lead the line at Euro 2008. At 6ft 7in, he is a huge target man but also possesses deceptive pace and a neat touch.
MILAN BAROS (Portsmouth, 28/10/81) - The forward has always been a bit of a loose cannon for his clubs but has consistently performed and scored for his country. Moved on loan to Portsmouth from Lyon in January after falling out of favour with coach Alain Perrin. Won the Golden Boot at Euro 2004 and will be hoping for a repeat this time around.
MARTIN FENIN (Eintracht Frankfurt, 16/04/87)
The young sensation has been a huge success at junior international level and made his debut for the full side in August 2007. Scored a hat-trick on his debut for Eintracht Frankfurt in February and is likely to replace Baros, should the 26-year-old not rediscover some form. The youngest player in the squad by some distance.
DAVID LAFATA (FK Austria, 18/09/81)
Made a dream debut for the Czechs in September 2006, scoring two late goals to beat Wales in the qualifying opener, but has since struggled to break into the side.
