The Czechs were captained by Tomas Ujfalusi, who has taken over the armband from Tomas Rosicky, who will miss the tournament in Austria and Switzerland because of a knee operation.

Victory for the Fiorentina defender in his first game as skipper was thanks largely to the efforts of the imposing Koller, who struck his 53rd and 54th international goals to lead the hosts to victory in Prague.

Milan Baros had the Czechs' best chance in the early exchanges as his curling shot was kept at bay by Zydrunas Karcemarskas.

Lithuania looked aggressive on the attack and Petr Cech had to be alert to keep the visitors off the scoresheet when Zdenek Grygera almost put through his own net, while Robertas Poskus worked space in the area after 31 minutes but sent a shot over the crossbar.

The breakthrough arrived in the Czech Republic's favour after 39 minutes when Grygera sent over a cross and Koller was on hand to convert with a trademark header.

The giant targetman put the game to bed after 64 minutes, working space in the area before slotting home right-footed into the left corner from 12 yards.

The Czechs meet Scotland on Friday in their final warm-up game.

They open their Euro 2008 campaign on June 7 against co-hosts Switzerland and also meet Turkey and Portugal in Group A.
