Elsewhere, Binh Dinh beat newly promoted Dong Thap 2-1 thanks to goals from Minh Minh and Washington, while Huda Heu drew 1-1 with TMN Cang Saigon.
In the day's other game, an injury time equaliser from Minh Nghia rescued a 2-2 draw for Hoang Anh Gia Lai against Thanh Hoa.
