Bolton captain Kevin Davies has dismissed talk of their future in the FA Cup as 'irrelevant' as the club continues to monitor Fabrice Muamba's health.
The 23-year-old midfielder remains in a critical condition in a London hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest during Bolton's FA Cup quarter-final with Spurs at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
The match was later abandoned, and there had been reports Bolton could pull out of the competition as players continue to deal with their emotions after Muamba's collapse.
Davies told the BBC the players were simply anxious for some good news on their team-mate's health.
"We've been asked that question and I think it's all still irrelevant," Davies said. "Until we get more information about Fabrice's condition, I don't think anything really matters.
"I know they were keen to get the game off tomorrow night (a league match against Aston Villa), which is a no-brainer. From then on, we don't really know as players.
"It's all about Fabrice and his family really. The football side just doesn't come into our thoughts."
