Forest are third in the Coca-Cola Championship with just two games of the regular season remaining, and Davies is focusing fully on the play-offs.

He told BBC Radio Nottingham: "The fact I've signed a contract tells you I want to be here.

"The fact that I have two years left tells you I have work to do. I've had a wonderful 18 months or so at Forest but the job is not done."

Neil Lennon is in temporary charge of Celtic following Tony Mowbray's departure, but Davies is the latest name to be linked with the post.

"The focus is on the remaining matches and getting the team to the Premier League," he added.

"In the summer I will sit down and discuss with my advisors and representatives the way the situation is with regard to the future and we will look at the future and we'll make decisions."

SOUTHAMPTON boss Alan Pardew is determined to see out the rest of his contract at the club despite also being linked with the vacant post at Celtic.

"I've got a three-year contract here and I look forward to seeing that out," he told BBC Radio Solent. "I've enjoyed my time at Southampton and I'll continue to enjoy it."

Manager Dave Jones insists he is fully focussed on matters at CARDIFF after being linked with West Ham.

The Bluebirds have already cemented their place in the play-offs and Jones insists that is all he is concerned with.

However, he does admit being flattered by the speculation.

"You're always going to get speculation and I can't stop it," he told BBC Sport. "It is always nice to be linked with somewhere else as it means you must be doing something right."

PLYMOUTH head coach Paul Mariner is confident that he will remain in charge of first-team affairs despite the club's relegation to League One.

Speculation has mounted that Mariner might take a job behind the scenes at Home Park when his role is discussed at the end of the season, but he told the club's official website: "At this present moment I have got no doubt that I will be picking the team next season.

"People in this country seem to be concerned about titles. I am not concerned about titles. I am in charge of football affairs, soup to nuts, top to bottom, whatever I'm called.

"It is up to the board. They are all-powerful and it is their club, but, as long as I'm in charge of football affairs, I will do the best I can.

"All I can do is do my best. There is nobody more disappointed than me with what has happened to the club."
