ROMA midfielder Daniele De Rossi has signed a four-year extension to his deal at the Stadio Olimpico, the capital club have announced.
The Italy international, who had been waiting until the end of Euro 2008 to sign the agreement, finally put pen to paper on a deal worth a potential 31million euros on Monday.
A statement on the Giallorossi website, www.asroma.it, read: "AS Roma and Daniele De Rossi announce having reached an agreement for the extension of the player's professional contract from today until June 30, 2012.
"The player will receive 7.2million euros during the 2008/09 season, 7.6million euros for the 2009/10 season, and 8.1million euros during the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons."
De Rossi is set to give a press conference regarding his decision on July 1.
The 24-year-old was one of the top performers in Roma's second-place finish in Serie A last season, along with midfield partner Alberto Aquilani who according to reports in Italy is also set to sign a new contract in the coming days.
