Daniel De Silva says Roda JC Kerkrade can stay up in the Eredivisie this season despite a slow start.
Roda have managed just one win in their first nine matches and sit second-last in the Dutch league. De Silva only made 12 appearances last season but has been a regular for the club in the 2016/2017 campaign.
The Australian has already played seven out of the first 10 games in Holland, and picked up an assist in Roda's first win of the season on Saturday. The Miners defeated Excelsior 1-0, with David Boysen set up by De Silva for the winner.
The former Perth Glory man told FourFourTwo Roda just have to keep working hard as they seek to climb the table.
"The results havent been going our way lately but I think things will turn around for us very soon," De Silva said.
"I'm still enjoying Europe and the football. I think we can stay up by just staying positive and working hard. We create chances in the match but we need to be more clinical in finishing and that's what we've missed."

De Silva is the last of the three Australians left at Roda after he, Rostyn Griffiths and Tomi Juric joined in 2015. Griffiths returned to Perth Glory in the off-season while Juric secured a move to Switzerland.
The 19-year old said he has settled in well and is happy at the club despite the departure of his fellow countrymen.
"I obviously miss that Australian feeling and the Aussie banter and things like that," De Silva said.
"But I made other friends within the team last year who are still at the club and this year I have made new friends with some of the new players and building on those relationships from last year also.
"All the boys are great guys and it's always enjoyable times in the dressing room."
