Lisa De Vanna admits it's "scary" just how fast the Matildas have grown in recent times following their Tournament of Nations triumph.
The Matildas secured a big 6-1 win over Brazil on Thursday, making it three victories from three games in the inaugural tournament.
The triumph ended a seven-year wait for a trophy, but De Vanna believes the Matildas are only just gearing up for bigger and better things.
Next up on the list is the 2018 Asian Cup in Jordan, followed by the 2019 Women's World Cup in France.
"The whole performance during the tournament has been fantastic," De Vanna told FFATV.
"You can see the character come out in every individual. Overall it's been a very good tournament.
"We've got the potential to do even better. It's quite scary how we are growing as a team and what we could potentially do in the next couple of years."
De Vanna also achieved a milestone of her own during the tournament, becoming the Matildas' all-time goalscorer.
"It's a bit a relief, it's a monkey off my back," the 32-year-old said. "It's been seven games since I was told I needed just two goals. It's been a bit stressful because I've put pressure on myself."
She added: "It's massive. Beating the US was fantastic and then to achieve an indivudual award... I can't put an emotion towards it because everyone that knows me and knows what playing for my country means, this is something I keep at the bottom of my heart.
"I don't know what to be happy out - beating the US first time, breaking the record and winning the tournament! Three's the charm I guess."
