Lisa De Vanna says it's time to show the world that the Matildas are serious about winning a World Cup.
The current Matildas squad is one of the most exciting ever assembled and is sure to be a major threat at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France, as well as the 2018 AFC Women's Asian Cup.
Alen Stajcic's side have lost just once in 2017 - to Sweden - and have picked up wins against five teams all ranked inside the top 14 in the world.
Three of those were against teams in the top 10 at the Tournament of Nations, in which the Matildas completed a straight sweep.
After defeating United States 1-0 in the opening game - their first ever win over the USWNT - the Matildas backed it up with a 4-2 win over Japan and a 6-1 thrashing of Brazil.
And now De Vanna wants the Matildas to show why they can conquer the world in the coming years, starting with upcoming friendlies against Brazil in Penrith and Newcastle in September.
“To be here [in Australia] and showcase their performance and continue the momentum from the Tournament of Nations is a great way to show people what we’re about,” the 32-year-old told reports on Friday.
“To come off the success we had. And to have the support from our country and [to play] in front of friends and family.
“You want to go out and show them we’re serious about this. Over the next two years we’re serious about being world champions.
“And there’s no better place [to do that] than at home.”
