Melbourne Victory's Thomas Deng has been named the final Young Footballer of the Year nominee following sensational performances in March.
Deng starred for Victory over the last six games, lifting his side to four wins and starting every match. The personal highlight, however, was the stunning volley against Western Sydney Wanderers in a 3-1 win.
Deng joins Chris Ikonomidis, Bruce Kamau, Danny De Silva, Daniel Arzani and Joe Champness in the final list of nominees for the award, recognising the A-League's finest player under 23-years-old this season.
NAB’s Chief Marketing Officer, Andrew Knott, said he was looking forward to monitoring Deng's career.
“We congratulate Thomas on his nomination and look forward to watching his development and growth on the football field in the years to come,” said Knott.
“We are also pleased to recognise Thomas’s nominated junior club, Adelaide Blue Eagles in South Australia, and hope that our support will help the club to continue developing the game in communities across Australia.”
The winner will be announced April 30.
