Brazilian midfielder Denilson will not join his homeland club Nautico - because he is expecting offers from Italy.
Nautico manager Helio Monteiro admits he has given up trying to sign him.
"He is a great player. But we made good signings with Daniel Gonzalez and David, who can play in that position," Monteiro told globoesporte.com
Agent Franck Assuncao reports 31-year-old Denilson, rejected by Bolton after training with the Barclays Premier League club recently, will join a Serie A side.
"Some clubs are interested in him," said Assuncao.
"He is an experienced player, and I think he has big chances of playing in the Italian football.
"We have little time, but I think we will have news soon."
