EXCLUSIVE: Brazilian ace Denilson has spent the weekend mulling over an offer from the A-League and his Aussie representatives should know by Tuesday if he’s on his way to Oz.
If the Brazilian striker agrees to terms, the most likely destination is Perth Glory - a club desperate to re-establish itself on the A-League scene after four fallow seasons in which they finished outside the A-League top four.
Sydney FC and Adelaide United could also be in the running for the former La Liga star's signature but Glory are the most likely destination.
Denilson's brother Denis is handling negotiations along with the player's local representatives Entourage management.
Denilson Oliveira Araujo, 31, played in the 2002 World Cup for Brazil. The left winger has had stints at Real Betis and Bordeaux, and most recently at Palmeiras where he is on a pay as you play contract.
Fellow Brazilian star Roque Junior, is also attracting interest, say sources, but most A-League clubs are using their marquee and guest player funds on attacking players and not defenders.
