Dame Ndoye got the only goal of the game after 57 minutes to extend Stale Solbakken's side's advantage over Midtjylland.

Fourth-placed Brondby missed the chance to move up to third in the table as they lost 1-0 at home to Horsens with Gil grabbing the only goal of the game with 12 minutes remaining.

Silkeborg came from a goal down to claim a 3-1 home win over Sonderjyske.

Michael Larsen (9) put the visitors ahead but Jesper Bech (39), Jim Larsen (65) and Martin Svensson (71) sealed the win.

Esbjerg drew 1-1 with FC Nordsjaelland in the day's other game. Mikkel Vendelbo fired Esbjerg ahead after 33 minutes but Tobias Mikkelsen levelled eight minutes later.

Esbjerg also had substitute Jesper Lange sent off in the dying seconds.
