France coach Didier Deschamps has paid the Socceroos several compliments ahead of their World Cup clash, describing them as a "dangerous" team that has quality players.
Deschamps fronted the media before the opener between Les Bleus and Australia in Kazan tomorrow.
He believes the Socceroos have "offensive potential" as an opponent.
"Bert van Marwijk has picked up a qualified national team and all the merit is due to the previous coach," he said.
"Before the competition he changed something in the system. The players are about the same but the team has offensive potential. They don’t play long balls. They try to play on the ground, they go to the sides, they go forward.
"It is well organised and they are highly disciplined. But it is a team with different options because the players have different profiles. Nabbout and Juric not the same. Beyond that there is quality.
"Except against Norway, the three other friendlies displayed some interesting things. Everything is possible over four matches."
France are one of the favourities tipped to win the tournament in Russia, but Deschamps refused to be drawn on his side's chances of winning this World Cup.
"You need a lot (to win a World Cup) but you have phases and the first phase is to win the first group match," he said.
"The recent history of France has only twice got to last 16. It is a very high level. We are going to start with a lot of determination and humility. It is our first match tomorrow and the first match is always very important.
"I have picked what is best for the French team to start the match. Not so much for the opponent but to be dangerous for the opponent, create opportunities and score."
Deschamps has selected a very young squad for the 2018 World Cup, France's youngest in decades.
Despite that the coach believes his team has enough experience to perform under the biggest of stages.
"They are young players but they do play in large clubs and used to important competitions," the 49-year-old said.
"Nine players have played in Euros or World Cups. They have followed the whole prepaparations. What is interesting to me is the group. Those players used to high level. It is a not a risk because those young people in the 23.
"Fourteen haven’t played in a big competition but if I have selected them then I think it is good for the team. It is not risk-taking. They are here because they have the quality to be here."
