Despite winning the FA Cup and overcoming Barcelona to reach the Champions League final, the Italian still does not know whether he will be charge of the Blues in August.

Speaking at the official launch of the club's partnership with the Sauber Formula One team, Gourlay admitted that they will hold discussions with the interim boss after the clash with Bayern Munich on May 19

"The club said from day one when he came in as interim manager that we would assess things at the end of the season. We've not changed our approach," Gourlay told reporters.

"Robbie is completely on board with that and the last person who's going to put any pressure on the team at this stage is me."

Another man who has played a huge part in the Blues' recent resurgence is Didier Drogba, who is out of contract in the summer.

It is believed that the Ivorian wants a two-year contract at the Bridge but Gourlay admitted negotiations are ongoing.

"We continue to discuss the situation with Didier," he said.

"Didier loves this football club, we love Didier, and we'll continue to have the conversations.

"Didier and the rest of the team are completely focused on what we've got to achieve in the next week and, once that's finished, we'll sit down."

Recent speculation has suggested that Di Matteo and Drogba could both still leave even if Chelsea defeat Bayern Munich and win the Champions League.
