And now he has opted to join 14th placed Diyarbakirspor on a six-month loan deal with an option for a further year.

Diyarbakirspor, who are a newly promoted club, have struggled in attack this season with just 14 goals in 16 official Super Lig games.

Djite scored six goals in an impressive debut season in Turkey last term, but has made only five appearances this campaign, all as a substitute.

He is the latest Aussie to leave Genclerbirligi, after James Troisi's departure to Kayserispor and Mile Jedinak's loan move to Antalyaspor earlier in the season.
