Melbourne Victory have released defender Dino Djulbic less than a month after joining the club as an injury replacement player.
The 34-year-old former Perth Glory and Gold Coast United man was signed late last month as cover for the injured James Donachie.
However, Djulbic's contract expired on January 18 and Victory haven't renewed the deal despite Donachie still being sidelined with a quad problem.
Thomas Deng's return from international duty at the AFC Under-23 Championships provides Victory with cover, although it had been speculated that Djulbic would stay on for the AFC Champions League.
Djulbic only made three appearances for Victory having joined the side from Malaysian outfit FELDA United.
He took to social media to thank the club despite the short stay.
"I would like to thank everyone @gomvfc the players and the stuff for looking after me while I was there," Djulbic wrote.
"Had a great time and enjoyed every minute I played even if it was just a short term injury replacement."
