Roma centre-half Mexes and Juventus striker Trezeguet have recently criticised their national-team boss for his allegations of match-fixing in Italian football.

But they nonetheless found themselves in Domenech's enlarged party for the trip to Slovakia, which will see the French play games against Slovakia 'A' in Senec on Tuesday and then the country's first team a day later in Trnava.

"I have selected them because my goal is for the France team to qualify (for Euro 2008) and they have the potential to make this happen," said Domenech.

"If it is necessary to talk to them, I will do it when the time comes, like professionals and reasonable people.

"Emotion has disappeared from my vocabulary. I will play the worst of individuals if he is useful to my team."

Trezeguet was largely ignored by Domenech last season while the striker continued to ply his trade in Serie B with Juve.

The club are now back in Italy's top flight and Trezeguet finds himself back in Domenech's plans once again, as does Mexes, who was not in Les Bleus' squad for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Ukraine and Georgia.

Key players Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira, who have both not played for France since the 1-0 friendly defeat to Argentina on February 7 because of injury, are back fit and in the squad.

Paris St Germain midfielder Jerome Rothen, who has 11 caps, and Juventus centre-half Jean-Alain Boumsong return to the international fold after spells out of the reckoning.

Domenech has also called up inexperienced Arsenal duo Bacary Sagna and Abou Diaby to his party.

But another Gunner, Mathieu Flamini, who was on the original press list handed out by the French Football Federation, has not been retained.

Injured duo Sidney Govou (thigh) and Willy Sagnol (knee) miss out, while wantaway Lyon forward Sylvain Wiltord is not included.
