Melbourne Victory have failed in their bid to keep James Donachie at AAMI Park, with the defender understood to have taken up an offer in the K-League.
The 25-year-old has reportedly made the switch to Jeonnam Dragons following the departure of that club's central defender, Tomislav Mrcela, to Perth Glory.
Victory stated: "Despite offering Donachie what the club thought to be a compelling offer to stay at AAMI Park, ultimately he decided to pursue other opportunities."
Also headed for the exit is 19-year-old Pierce Waring who the club said has "decided it was the right time to est himself overseas".
Donachie was an instrumental figure in Victory's championship-winnning campaign, while Waring made just one A-League appearance for four minutes.
