Borussia Dortmund general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke has called for Sepp Blatter to step down from his role as FIFA president.
Fresh allegations of corruption within world football's governing body surfaced this month, with former FIFA President Joao Havelange and executive committee members Ricardo Teixeira reportedly guilty of accepting bribes from International Sport and Leisure, FIFA's defunct marketing partner.
Blatter responded to the accusations by saying he was powerless to punish the duo, leading to German Football League (DFL) president Reinhard Rauball and Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeness to call for a change in the FIFA leadership.
"I'm joining the calls of Rauball," Watzke told Focus.
"The president of the DFL has called on Blatter to resign as quickly as possible.
"Either he goes voluntarily, or the executive committee openly expresses their mistrust in him. You must not forget what Blatter has cost FIFA.
"I think Fifa has realised that it cannot continue like this. The damage to their image is immense."
