Cameroon coach Hugo Broos says his team played better than Australia and should have won their Confederations Cup encounter.
The Socceroos and the African side played out a 1-1 draw in St Petersburg. Cameroon took the lead right before half-time but a Mark Milligan pegged it back in the scond half.
The Indomitable Lions went close to a winner in the final stages but poor finishing saw each side take a point. Cameroon had 14 more shots on goal in total compared to Australia and had several more promising attacks.

Broos slams Socceroos as 'direct'
Broos said Cameroon were definitely better than Ange Postecoglou's team over the 90 minutes and deserved to win
"I think the statistics said everything about the game," the 65-year old said.
"When you see this you have to always win the game, for sure. We were on the 90 minutes a better team, we had the best chances and then you have to win it. The chances were there but we didn't score.
"My team did a very good game. We had a lot of chances. We scored once but then in the second half we had to score again and I think the game is finished, and we win the game. Now we get a penalty and therefore the result is not so good for us."
"Today and against Chile we had a good performance but, this is something that is very important, for this you have to score goals... we didn't do it today."
Cameroon play Germany next in their third and final Group B game. Broos' side must beat the world champions to have any chance of progressing in the tournament.
