BRAZIL coach Dunga has assured fans the Selecao will raise their game against rivals Argentina in the sixth round of the World Cup qualifiers.
Brazil lost 2-0 in Paraguay on Sunday, despite the hosts being down to 10 men for the majority of the second half after Dario Veron was dismissed in the 47th minute.
Now reports in Brazil are suggesting a defeat to the old enemy at Belo Horizonte's Estadio Mineirao would cost Dunga his job.
But the 1994 World Cup winner is sure his players will not let him and the fans down.
"These guys have already proved their temperament, their quality, their personality," said Dunga.
"They are used to dealing with criticism. They have already brought joy to supporters and they want to do it again.
"We didn't play well against Paraguay, but we'll do much better against Argentina."
Dunga hinted he would not make wholesale changes to his starting XI, saying: "Sometimes, changing attitude is better than changing starters.
"I will talk to the players, analyse, but this isn't a match that will change the way we play.
"We'll try to recover our form against Argentina and try to play the same football we used to play."
AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato, an unused substitute against Paraguay, is desperate to be given a chance against Argentina.
He said: "I will do my best to be given an opportunity. The coach chooses the players who are in the best condition and I'm working to play."
Striker Adriano, who spent last season on loan with Sao Paulo after falling out of favour at Internazionale, came on in the second half of last weekend's clash and is pleased to be in Dunga's plans.
"I am ready to play, waiting for any opportunity Dunga can give me," he said.
"I obviously want to play. He knows what to do and what he will do will be good. I am truly happy."
Kaka will be absent after failing to recover from minor knee surgery in time, and Argentina goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri is not complaining about his absence.
"It's nice when you beat Brazil with all their stars, but it's better if Kaka doesn't play," he said.
"If I played against Argentina, I would say it was better if (Lionel) Messi, Roman (Riquelme) or (Sergio) Aguero didn't play.
"The Brazil match will be useful to measure ourselves. To see where we are. It's the same for them because we are Argentina. This is an all-or-nothing match."
Albicelestes boss Alfio Basile is considering starting with Julio Cruz in place of Aguero after his side suffered a disappointing result of their own on Sunday, a 1-1 draw with Ecuador.
Juan Sebastian Veron is likely to miss the game with a muscular problem.
