MELBOURNE Victory coach Mehmet Durakovic says he won't be making changes in his forward line just yet despite his side going goalless again in Friday's 1-0 away loss to Adelaide United.
Victory, who have a star-studded attack including Harry Kewell, Archie Thompson, Marco Rojas, Carlos Hernandez and Jean Carlos Solorzano, failed to hit the back of the net for the second successive game after Round One's goalless draw with Sydney FC.
However, Durakovic told Fox Sports after Friday's defeat he wasn't going to be making wholesale changes, as his side have been creating opportunities.
“We were creating really good chances in the first-half. We had two one-on-ones and you put them away then you come in up 2-0 at half-time,” Durakovic said.
“We're creating the chances but it's just not going for us. We need someone to put the ball in the back of the net. Hopefully that'll come sooner rather than later.”
The Victory coach boss admitted the loss to the Reds was tough to swallow, claiming one mistake cost his side the game after Sergio van Dijk pounced on Fabio's wayward pass in defence to score the winner.
Durakovic added he was also disappointed by the decision to send off Adrian Leijer for a second bookable offence after he was unlucky to receive his first yellow card early in the contest.
“We all don't know what he got the yellow card for in the first instance and the second one, what do you do? It's very tough to away from home with 10 men,” he said.
Victory's next match is against city rivals Melbourne Heart and Durakovic said it was a crucial game for his side.
“We need to play really, really well at home in front of our crowd to get the maximum three points,” he said.
