Dutch clubs will have 24 hours more to buy and sell players after it was confirmed on Monday that the transfer deadline has been extended until September 1.
A statement on the Eredivisie website confirmed that the move has been made as August 31 - the traditional closing of the transfer window - falls on a Sunday.
The move brings the Dutch into line with the Spanish, Italian and English authorities, who have all extended their deadline. As of this time, the French and German leagues have not announced any change to the August 31 deadline.
