Robin van Persie scored twice as Holland cruised to a 3-1 friendly victory over Sweden in Amsterdam tonight.
The Arsenal striker put the London club's troubles behind him to strike either side of half-time as Holland picked up where they left off in World Cup qualifying.
Bert van Marwijk's men have won three out of three in Group Nine and even Kim Kallstrom's goal seconds after coming on as a second-half substitute to halve the deficit could not hide their dominance.
Dirk Kuyt gave the scoreline a more accurate look with the third goal in stoppage time.
Sweden have had a stuttering start to their qualifying campaign, winning just one of three, and they were comfortably second best for long stages in Amsterdam.
Van Marwijk started with his only fit recognised strikers in an attacking-minded front three, Kuyt, Van Persie and Ryan Babel making up an entirely English-based strikeforce.
And it was Liverpool man Kuyt - enjoying a decent run of goalscoring form domestically - who had the first effort of note, shooting over the bar from the right channel in the 12th minute.
Van Persie went closer moments later with a shot which Sweden keeper Andreas Isaksson - who plays his club football in Holland with PSV Eindhoven - was forced to block.
Daniel Majstorovic headed over at the other end on a rare foray into the opposition area for the Swedes, but Isaksson was called into action again, holding on to Wesley Sneijder's left-footed effort from 20 yards.
And Real Madrid man Sneijder was the architect of Holland's opener in the 33rd minute, crossing from the left for Van Persie to plant a header low in to the centre of the goal from six yards.
Holland started the second half in similarly commanding fashion with Kuyt shooting wide inside the first minute.
Five minutes later and Van Persie had doubled their lead, finishing into the bottom right corner after a pass from substitute Rafael Van der Vaart.
A Swedish substitute, Kallstrom, made an even more stunning impact, though, pulling a goal back in the 51st minute when he fired into the top corner from the left of the area a matter of seconds after coming off the bench.
The Lyon man's arrival certainly seemed to breathe some life into the visiting team, and he almost created an equaliser with a free-kick which Majstorovic headed at replacement keeper Michel Vorm.
Isaksson, impressing on the ground where he was beaten four times in the Eredivisie last weekend, then produced a fine double save to deny Babel and Kuyt.
The former Manchester City keeper was beaten again in injury time, though, when Kuyt headed home Tim De Cler's left-wing cross.
