Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven thrashed FC Utrecht to go top of the Eredivisie.
Danish veteran Kenneth Perez got the ball rolling with a 16th-minute opener, before Leroy George equalised with a low drive a minute after half-time.
Danko Lazovic restored the advantage with a well-taken 64th-minute finish and Perez put daylight between the sides with a sweet strike from distance four minutes later.
By the time Danny Koevermans made it 4-1 in the 85th minute, the game was over as a contest.
Elsewhere, FC Groningen claimed a 2-1 win at Heracles Almelo and Heerenveen's recent excellent form ended in a 2-1 defeat at home to FC Twente.
