The 24-year-old Wales striker has passed a medical and agreed a four-year deal with the Sky Blues to bring an end to a disappointing spell at Molineux.

"The move has been talked about for quite a while so I am just delighted it's finally going through," Eastwood told the club's official website, www.ccfc.co.uk.

"My aim is to end the season as the club's top goalscorer - I've scored goals elsewhere and that is exactly what I want to do here at Coventry.

"The Ricoh Arena is a great place to play your football - it is one of the best in the Championship so I am looking forward to getting out there."

Eastwood rose to prominence at Southend, where he scored 63 goals in 125 appearances, prompting Wolves boss Mick McCarthy to spend £1.5million for his services last summer.

But he failed to have the desired impact at Molineux, starting just 10 games and scoring three goals for the club, and almost joined Coventry on loan in March before the deal fell through.
