Eboue was jeered by his own supporters last season after a shocking performance against Wigan where he came on as a substitute and was taken off again before the end.

The 26-year-old was expected to leave, with Italian side Fiorentina suggested as a possible destination, but instead has stayed and has played his part in Arsenal's 100% start to the season.

"I'll wait but if they want me to sign a contract I will sign because I love this club and have to do my best for this team," said Eboue, whose current deal has two years to run.

"I didn't say I wanted to move when they booed me. I have two more years at Arsenal and feel very good here. I want to improve more and win something with my team.

"The boss has given me some confidence. My friends helped me a lot and now I feel very good when I play and then give more for the fans.

"I've forgotten everything that happened with the fans. I'm very happy with the fans because they sing my name when I play and make me happy when I play. I have to say thank you to the fans.

"We are together now and they are very happy about me. So I am very happy about the partnership with the fans."

Eboue insists there is a tighter unit at Arsenal now Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure have left for Manchester City, although he admits he misses his African friends.

"For me, I'm disappointed because they are my friends and they have gone but that is football," he said. "Now we have Eduardo, Arshavin, Van Persie, Bendtner and Theo Walcott and we will try our best to do it for this place.

"This year is not the same as last year. This year we are more together and have more solidarity in our team. For me, personally, I think it is important to be like this.

"We go out together and do things together. This is important to have because we are young and it's much better to speak together and get close together."

Arsenal's perfect start to the season continued when they defeated Celtic this week in the Champions League, even if Eduardo's dive sparked controversy.

Next is Manchester United at Old Trafford in a match that could test their Barclays Premier League title credentials.

"Last season we made too many mistakes but now we have addressed that and we are doing very well at the moment," Eboue said.

"We have to continue to do that and with the solidarity in our team we will give our best."

Midfielder Aaron Ramsey believes Arsenal are stronger after the mistakes of last season.

"There were a few lessons we learnt from last season," the Welshman said. "We had a good pre-season, and the squad's stronger both physically and mentally.

"I think a lot of the players here now haven't actually won anything for a certain amount of time and this season everyone's hungrier than ever.

"Personally I'm very hungry to try and get myself into the starting XI and put pressure on the manager to pick me week in, week out so hopefully I can do that this season."
