The Sydneysider who had spells with Nottingham Forest, Swindon Town and Bradford City before joining the Dons, represented the Australian Under 20s at the Under 20 World Cup in Argentina in 2001.

He then decided to try his luck in England although the latter part of his spell has been blighted by injury.

However, his situation is expected to alert A-League clubs to his availability.

Edds joined Matt Carbon, Sam Collins, Kieran Murphy and Drewe Broughton in not not be offered extensions once their existing contracts expire on 30 June at the new League One outfit.
