Edgar, who was a graduate of the Nike Academy, signed for Huddersfield's academy in 2015.

Born in Liverpool, the forward moved to Queensland with his family when was 10 years old.

He spent time with North Star FC, Brisbane City and Sunshine Coast Fire before joining the Newcastle Jets' National Youth League side.

Edgar left the Jets two years ago to link with the Terriers. Now he has returned to Australia and is trialing with the Mariners.

Edgar played and scored for Central Coast's Academy side in their win over the Macarthur Rams on Saturday.

Ex-Nottingham Forest and Stoke City youth keeper Chris Marques is also currently on trial with the Mariners.
