Veteran striker Edmundo has revealed he is reconsidering his decision to retire from football.
The 37-year-old former Brazil international announced he was hanging up his boots in July after his club, Vasco da Gama, were relegated to the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B.
But Edmundo has now admitted he would be willing to come out of retirement if the right team came along.
"I am open to offers," he said. "I would like to finish my career in a more positive way.
"I would be considered a liar, but if the opportunity is good for me, I'd maybe play a little longer."
However, the striker is aware his chances of joining one of Brazil's leading clubs are slim.
"I would love to finish my career with a top team, but I don't think it will be easy," he added.
"Top teams such as Cruzeiro and Sao Paulo focus on technique rather than personal issues. I have already had that opportunity."
The news has been welcomed by Vasco president Roberto Dinamite, who is now hoping to persuade the player to return to the club.
"We'll talk to him about that. We have to sort out all these issues," said Dinamite.
"It's worth sitting down and discussing the possibilities.
"If he believes there is a chance to continue, I think it would be interesting if he could finish his career in a nice way. Maybe in the Campeonato Carioca (the Rio de Janeiro state championship) as I did."
