Former Australia youth international Ryan Edwards is a free agent after invoking a relegation clause in his contract to leave Scottish club Partick Thistle.
Partick were relegated from the Scottish Premiership last week following a play-off defeat to Livingston.
Edwards did have a deal with Partick until 2020, but that included a relegation clause which he has invoked.
SunSport has reported Ben Garuccio's new club Hearts are interested in 24-year-old Edwards who spent time with Perth Glory in the A-League.
Edwards made 44 appearances and scored five goals in all competitions for the Jags last season.
The midfielder is well regarded in Scotland, having joined Thistle in 2015.
No words. Devastated - So sorry to all the fans and everyone @ThistleTweet. Thanks for never giving up on us. We've let this great club down
