The Blackburn Rovers manager has a hole to fill in his squad after right winger David Bentley departed for Tottenham Hotspur.

Ince isn't panicking though and feels he already has two players on the books, including Emerton, who can do a more than satisfactory job for him.

Emerton's versatility has already seen him play a number of roles for Rovers including right wing-back and in a more central role.

Steven Reid is another option for Ince in the wide right role.

Ince told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "We are looking at bringing in one or two players, not just for that position, but in other positions too.

“We’ve got to remember that Brett and Reidy can play down there. I think Dunny (David Dunn) has also played there in the past.

“Normally, managers want two players for each role.

“The fact that Brett can play there and also at right-back, we’re quite lucky with that.”
